Randal (Randy) Arturo Gonzalez was born on May 27, 1966 in Jefferson, La., a suburb of New Orleans to Ruben “Mr. Salsa” Gonzalez, a famous Spanish singer and Nancy H. Gonzalez (nee Houston), a Hospital Administrator. The second of 4 children, Randy grew up in a tough neighborhood full of kids where he played all sports. He excelled and was all District, Parish, and State in Baseball, Football, Wrestling, and Track from 1979-1984. Randy never wanted to be an actor but felt he could accomplish some personal goals by pursuing this career. After years of setbacks; he decided to take the plunge. He went full force and received his SAG card from his first audition, which is definitely not normal in this business. He completed a Comedy TV pilot with local New Orleans actors called “Help Wanted” which is getting quite a buzz in comedy circles. Most recently he has starred in “Classic Restoration”, with producer Jarred Coates who also produced “God’s not Dead”.
